]]>Nature is a great palette to draw from, but always with due respect.
Only natural dyes in Naiadi products, derived from dyeing herbs such as spirulina algae powder (spirulina maxima powder). You can find it in the Lemongrass and hemp line, with varying shades of green based on the other ingredients present. Very rich in chlorophyll, this cyanobacterial alga also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps eliminate toxins.
The intense brick color of pomegranate and cinnamon is given by the alkanna root (alkanna tinctoria root extract), a small evergreen shrub of the Mediterranean flora, used since ancient times to dye fabrics as well. In soap scrub it is combined with madder root (rubia tinctorum root), once known as the dyers' madder, precisely because the dyers obtained the red color from this root.
Which color would you like for a future line? We await suggestions!
]]>For soaps and body cleansers the solution is really simple: place the piece left in the center of the sponge and spread it directly on the skin, you will see that you will consume it until the end without wasting even a gram! Maybe one more shower will last!
For the shampoo and conditioner, on the other hand, you can insert the piece (or the pieces, if the stick broke prematurely or you have kept several) in an organza bag, the one of the sugared almonds, and rub the latter on the hair, soaping the head. as if you were holding the new product. You will see that the game will be done, and you will no longer see a few precious grams of shampoo slip down the drain… rest assured that it does not pollute, but it's a real shame! Before and after use, the bag can be washed in the washing machine to sanitize it.
These are the solutions we have personally tested, you instead? Do you have any other suggestions?
]]>The answer was simple: if we want to maintain a high level of quality in raw materials, we must focus on essential oils, ingredients that in addition to giving an excellent fragrance also have effective qualities. And they are given to us by our dear plants, so they have nothing synthetic or created in the laboratory. In INCI you will find indicated in addition to the oils themselves also the natural substances contained in them that give the fragrance, such as d-limonene, linalool, citral, geraniol.
The excellent bouquet of Lemongrass and Hemp is given by the combination of 4 different essential oils: obviously Lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus leaf oil, which brings a fresh, clean note and has antibacterial properties; lavender, LAVENDULA HYBRIDA OIL, adds a strong note and is an oil known for its relaxing and antiseptic properties; bergamot, citrus aurantium bergamia peel oil, accentuates freshness and produces a calming effect; and last, but not least, the essential oil of sweet orange, orange oil sweet, which adds a little sweetness to the whole, also known for its anti-stress and purifying action.
So keep calm & take a shower with the Lemongrass and hemp line;)
]]>Soon, on the occasion of the release of the winter line, we will also talk about organic olive oil and sunflower oil, stay in touch!
]]>Cocos Nucifera Oil, coconut oil, from organic cultivation. It nourishes and facilitates hair growth, making it shiny and silky. It protects the skin from the signs of aging and is extremely moisturizing.
You will not find palm oil in our formulations: we all know by now, to make room for the boundless intensive cultivation of palm oil, entire virgin forests of Indonesia have been sacrificed, upsetting the ecosystem and threatening the survival of endangered species such as the orangutan. All this made us opt for ingredients that are less convenient from an economic point of view, but which cost much less to the environment.
]]>Kaolin corresponds to a white clay, used in our shampoo and detergent as an active ingredient with purifying power, in fact it absorbs excess sebum and impurities, but without drying the skin.
Oryza Sativa Starch: Simply rice starch. It reduces redness, is soothing and softening.
Aloe Barbadensis leaf juice is certainly the easiest ingredient to recognize, it is in fact the gel derived from the Aloe vera leaf, coming from certified organic cultivation. It has a moisturizing, soothing and antibacterial function.

]]>On a carefree August trip I came across these disturbing photos in the fantastic setting of the Trentino castle: the only subject, the plastic waste found by the artist on the beaches and in the sea. Seen from afar, the prints are a riot of shapes and colors that delight the eye and invite you to get closer to observe better. And so the shock sets in: each colored fragment reveals itself for what it really is, that is, a piece of plastic, a waste regurgitated by our poor seas.
This really must lead us to reflect, and exclaim "Not in my planet!" Not on my planet, not in my home, because the Earth is home to us all.

]]>Derived from coconut oil, you will find SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, a very delicate surfactant, if you look at INCI, in first place in our shampoo and face-body cleanser. It is important to know that from the position of a certain ingredient in the INCI list you can understand how much that product contains: if in the first places, there is an important quantity. It can be said that in the first places we find the basic ingredients, as flour can be for a cake. In the last places the ingredients in small quantities.
COCAMIDROPROPYL BETAINE is also a surfactant derived from coconut oil, LAURYL GLUCOSIDE is a secondary surfactant of vegetable origin always used in the formula to mitigate the action of the primary surfactant, also of vegetable origin, it is often used for delicate skin such as those of children.

]]>All of us the first time we went shopping, thrilled by our new independence, we found ourselves a little bewildered in front of supermarket shelves full of products of all kinds. For every basic necessity, dozens and dozens of different brands: but it does not end here because each of these on its flamboyant label claims to be the best, or the most recommended, and we, stunned and always with very little time, throw it in the cart the most familiar product because we have simply heard advertisements for it hundreds of times.
But you have to do a U-turn! We do not remain passive, guided by the strength of the external market (and marketing): we are the ones who actually have immense power in our hands. The power to make a choice, as conscious as possible. So let's turn those products we find on the shelves, take our time, and read that label on the back which is much less inviting than the one in front. But which shows in black and white what we really should be interested in: WHAT are we buying!
The question is quite easy for food, a completely different matter for hygiene products. Because the poor consumer, who is becoming a fantastic conscious consumer, faces the infamous INCI! Literally it is an international name used to indicate the ingredients present in the product, but in practice they are incomprehensible names, and for those who are not chemical experts they could really be anything.
Therefore we decided to use this blog to publish the "translation" of the INCI nomenclature of the components of our products, to enable you to make a truly conscious choice. In this way, those big words will seem a little less scary, and you will recognize them more easily from now on. Good study!
]]>It is with great emotion that we begin this adventure: welcome to Nàiadi Ethical Cosmetics! Handcrafted hygiene products, 100% natural origin, plastic free is zero waste.
